Keerthy Suresh

Keerthy (born on 17 October 1992), was born on 17 October 1992, and is an Indian actress. She has a prominent role in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam movies. In 2018, she received the National Film Award Best Actress Award for playing the role of actress Savitri. She has also received three SIIMA Awards and a Filmfare Award South. Keerthy Kumar Suresh is the actor Menaka G. Suresh's daughter. In the early 2000s, she began as a young actress. After studying fashion design, she went back to the world of film. She played her first major character as a lead actress in Geethaanjali (2013) in which was a Malayalam motion picture. She went on to star in successful films such as Ring Master (2014), Rajinimurugan (2016), Remo (2016), Bairavaa (2017), Nenu Local (2017), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Mahanati (2018), Sarkar (2018), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Penguin (2020), Miss India (2021), Good Luck Sakhi (2022) and Sarkaru Vaari Paata (2022). Her first film outside of Malayalam was the romantic comedy Idhu Maayam (2015) with Vikram Prabhu. It did not perform well at the box office. In 2015, she released A. L. Vijay's romantic comedies Idhu Enna Maayam and Vikramprabhu against one another. However, the films did not do well in cinemas. In order to accommodate bigger projects because of her busy schedule, she was forced to opt to not participate in certain films which she then began working on. The films included were Krishna's Maane Thaene Paeye (a romance) and Deekay's Kavalaivendam. Within a brief period she also worked together with Sivakarthikeyan on Rajini Murugan, Remo and also played the lead in Prabhu Sool's Thodari alongside Dhanush. Her Telugu debut had been scheduled in the form of Ainaa Ishtam nuvvu. Although the release date of Janakitho Nenu is not yet confirmed, there is speculation that the film could be released in September 2020. The first film to debut came out as Nenu Sailaja in 2016 with actor Ram Pothineni. In January 2017, Keerthy appeared in Bairavaa in a film starring actor Vijay and directed by Bharathan.
