Winona-Ryder
Winona Laura Horowitz professionally known as Winona Ryder was born in Winona Minnesota. Parents of Winona Ryder named her for the town she grew up in. Both her father Michel Horowitz, and mother Cynthia Palmer are authors and editors. Ryder, who considers herself Jewish has a connection to Ryder's Jewish father. Ryder is the younger sister of Uria, and has half-siblings Jubal & Sunyata. Ryder's family relocated from Mendocino County to California when she was seven. There was no electricity. Ryder was an avid read and often spent her time reading books because she had no television. When she turned 12 years old, Ryder joined the American Conservatory Theatre to take acting classes. Ryder landed her first film role on the big screen in 1986 when she was 15 years young. Ryder suffered from bullying throughout highschool. Ryder hoped that her actions would bring about a change. Unfortunately that didn't come to be. The actress continued to chase her goals. In 1988, she got her biggest break with Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. Ryder continued to play successful roles in many movies. In 1993, Ryder was nominated two times for Academy Awards.
